The completion of a Washington State approved curriculum and meeting the required 750 hours of training with passing grades is the first step in becoming a licensed esthetician. After the student has achieved the 750 required hours of training time with passing grades they will then be able to apply for the written and practical exams.
To apply for the written and practical exam go to:
You will create an account so that you are able to access practice exams and register for the real exams.
The cost is outlined below:

Written Exam: $60.00
Practical Exam: $120.00

After a candidate has successfully completed their exams they log back onto their account and fill out a DOL license application and pay:

Department of Licensing Fee: $25.00
Processing fee: $5.00

If a student fails any part of the exam they will be required to pay an any exam fees to retake the tests.
